The exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union<\/div>

The exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union brought numerous consequences, including a change in trade relations, redefining them according to the new role of the UK as a third country in all respects.
\nThe Brexit phenomenon was mainly articulated in three phases, timed by precise deadlines; the third and final phase, initially scheduled for July 2021, was postponed to October and finally to January 2022: this phase will see the full implementation of new customs controls on imports of goods from the EU.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Hungary and the EK\u00c1ER system<\/div>

Since 2015, a new system for controlling the movement of goods and merchandise by road, called EK\u00c1ER<\/strong> (Electronic Trade and Transport Control System), has been introduced in Hungary. The objectives of this measure are to increase transparency in the movement of goods, to eliminate food-related fraud that can endanger human health, and to reduce tax evasion.
\nAs of 1 January 2021, the regulations under the EK\u00c1ER system have changed: only products mentioned in Decree 51\/2014 of 31 December, issued by the Minister of National Economy regarding the determination of the most risky products, must be reported.
\nThe EK\u00c1ER registration obligation remains applicable only for high-risk products.<\/strong>

Road haulage reform for third parties - Legislative Decree 285\/2005<\/div>

Legislative Decree 285\/2005 is one of the three decrees delegated by Law No. 32 of 1 March 2005 dealing with the reform of road transport. This decree contains a fundamental innovation concerning the abolition of forked tariffs as of 28 February 2006.<\/p>\n

Firstly, it remains necessary for those who carry out road haulage activities for third parties to be registered in the road hauliers' register.<\/p>\n

This registration is subject to the possession of certain requirements of good repute and professional capacity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Road haulage reform for third parties - Legislative Decree 285\/2005<\/div>

Legislative Decree No. 214 of 22 December 2008 amending and supplementing certain provisions of Legislative Decree 285 of 2005 was published in the Official Gazette No. 11 of 15 January 2009.<\/p>\n

They came into force on 30 January 2009.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n
